PCYC Launceston Gym Club, Monday, 14 April 2014

The 30th  of  March saw gymnasts from all levels battle it out in the PCYC Launceston  Club Championships. This is a fun inhouse competition in which PCYC gymnasts compete against each other  in a fun and friendly atmosphere to try and win the title of Club Champion.

It was a fantactic day with male and female gymnasts from levels 1-7 competing. The audience was treated to some lovely routines from all competitors as they showed off their skills on each apparatus. With lots of cheering in the stands from parents, a sausage sizzle lunch and smiles on the childrens faces it was a great experience for both first timers and exprerienced gymnasts also giving good practice for future competitions.

Level 1 WAG     - Rosie Irving
Level 2 WAG     - Vaila Brewer
Level 2 MAG     - Bayley Fisher
Level 3 WAG     - Sassy Coulson
Level 3 MAG     - Jayden Reid
Level 4 WAG     - Briar Marshall
Level 4 MAG     - Ryan Butt
Level 5 WAG     - Gabby Hill

The senior event was finished off with the PCYC Senior WAG Cup. The cup is awarded to the pair of senior girls whose combined overall score is the highest with teams of 2 decided by random draw before the event. This year it was won by Alisha Lynch and Rebecca Von Samorzewski.

We would like to thank all coaches who volunteered their time on the day as well as parents who helped out with the scoring and the cooking of the bbq. All the proceeds of the event go to the upkeep of the gymnasium.
